When he makes a mistake, tell him it is okay. Never fuss and criticize. You will only drive him away. You are responsible for your actions and reactions, so make sure they are loving, copassionate and understanding. Face it: He is bound to make mistakes-burn clothes woth iron, forget to take the cake out of the oven when you told him to watch it, spill paint on the carpet. It happens. He does not need to hear it from you in one of those irritating tones. In the long run, none of these things really matter.
